BTZx Resources for NBC 2020 Tier-2

Building to Zero Exchange has developed a set of practical job aids to support building professionals in navigating Tier 2 compliance under the 2020 National Building Code. 

As of April 1, 2026, Tier 2 comes into effect in Nova Scotia, introducing enhanced energy efficiency requirements for Part 9 buildings. These resources are designed to help builders, designers, building officials, and other practitioners understand available compliance pathways and confidently meet the requirements of Section 9.36 - Energy Efficiency.
