Workforce Readiness Roadmaps – Accelerating the Workforce Transition in Net-Zero Buildings

The Building to Zero Exchange (BTZx) is leading the Workforce Readiness Roadmaps project to assess and strengthen Nova Scotia’s workforce capabilities for net-zero buildings and deep retrofits. This initiative aims to identify skill gaps, align training programs with industry needs, and support the transition to a low-carbon built environment.

looks at the skills and competencies needed for deep carbon and energy saving retrofit projects; explores the current training system; and discusses key barriers and opportunities associated with the workforce required to scale up the green
retrofit economy and meet the anticipated demand in the coming decades.
