Welcome to one of BTZx's high-impact collaborative initiatives. We are inviting members to help us profile their net-zero building work as a part of a comprehensive, useful resource hub for the Nova Scotia building sector.

The asset map project aims to equip the sector and public with a better understanding of organizations contributing to Nova Scotia’s transition to net-zero buildings. It will serve as both a data resource and a relationship-building tool, supporting regional coordination and knowledge-sharing.

BTZx is proud to feature the best work of our members and, in exchange, to be the curator of a building sector resource hub. Our Asset Map is built on submissions from members and managed by our team to ensure easy access to high-value information.

The asset map is designed to be used. A lot. The asset submission process ensures we do not miss a thing. Our new online resource hub provides a grab and go experience for busy colleagues. And, most of all, the BTZ Asset Map brings together our sector activities in one location.

Use the submission form below to share your resources, and come back whenever you have additional assets to contribute.

As part of the Nova Scotia Building Sector Asset Map, we are conducting a short survey to better understand who is working in the sector and in which areas of the building lifecycle.

By participating this Member Profiling Survey, you are helping BTZx map out key players, highlight areas of expertise, and identify opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing across the region.

The Asset Map is a digital tool being developed by BTZx to showcase the people, organizations, and services driving the transition to net-zero buildings in Nova Scotia. It aims to map out the entire building sector ecosystem across the full building lifecycle.

We are collecting this data to better understand who is working in the sector, what services and expertise they offer, and where collaboration opportunities exist. It will also help identify gaps, support workforce planning, and connect stakeholders more effectively.

The data you provide will populate a searchable, public-facing map on the BTZx website. This will help others in the sector discover your organization, understand your focus areas, and engage with you on shared initiatives

While not mandatory, we strongly encourage all BTZx members to participate. The more complete the data, the more useful the Asset Map will be for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The survey is designed to take less than 10 minutes. It asks for general organizational information, areas of focus, and contributions to the net-zero building space.

Yes. You will be able to request updates if your organization’s information changes or needs to be revised. Instructions will be provided once the map is live.

We welcome participation from any BTZx member organization working in or supporting the building sector—this includes trades, design professionals, policy groups, suppliers, educators, municipalities, financial institutions, utilities, and more.
