This report highlights two training programs developed to build capacity in Nova Scotia’s building sector as it transitions to net-zero. It outlines the content of a Section 9.36 National Building Code (NBC) course created with NSBOA, and a Climate Literacy course developed with NSCC. The NBC training helps professionals understand and apply new energy code requirements, while the Climate Literacy course introduces climate science, the building sector’s role in emissions, and key high-performance standards. Together, these programs aim to strengthen knowledge and readiness across the sector.
